Staffing Update!

I spoke to my principal yesterday who was totally honest with me in saying that she is "taking care of" another teacher here who has been doing LTO's for a few years here now. I get that. So, it looks like she will get the grade 7/8 position at this school.

She also said, however, that she will do her best to get me something permanent and barring that, an LTO that lasts the entire school year at another school. My worst case scenario is that I get the 6 week LTO in grade 1/2 here and then supply the remainder of the year. The teacher I did this last LTO here for is planning to get pregnant in the summer which would put her off work around May or June of 2013. So that would be a possibility too.

This time of year is so full of speculation and worry. Thankfully, this will all be done by June 22nd.

I met with the principal of my husband's school yesterday and he will be having a very honest and frank conversation with her over the next week to try to make sure I get something permanent for next year. Hopefully, by the time I have talked to the other 3 principals I plan to visit, there will be enough people in my corner to push for me to get something.
