3 More Days of Waiting!

I'm going insane waiting for our staffing day to come. I have since found out that a couple of the teachers at "my" school have applied to other positions within the board. This is good news for me because that means that my chances of getting in at that school increase. The bad news for me is that my principal has had to go out of province for a family emergency and will not be present at the staffing meeting on Friday. The VP is going in her place and will be talking to the principal throughout the entire day, but not having her there may work against me. We'll have to see how that unfolds.

I have some reservations however. This school has succumbed to a lot of staff drama this year - more than any other workplace I've had - and quite frankly, I am hoping that I can maybe get a position in another school (one that's air conditioned?). I don't know how it will all unfold, but my hope is that something comes up somewhere and I can get a permanent job. It doesn't matter if it's full-time, just as long as I get SOMETHING.

Tomorrow morning I am going around to see some more principals to get my skills sheet out there as well as secure more people to look out for me at staffing. The more people I can get on my side, the better my chances for employment on a permanent level.

3 days to go. 3 days more of driving myself up the wall.
