Other classrooms I see with two teachers often have 2 teacher desks or areas for resources, materials, and information. Our room is SO TINY that we can't possibly fit another desk in. As well, we have a full-time EA in our room so really, there are 3 of us trying to find room.
I use my coloured cart from Michael's (a gift from my wonderful MIL) to help me organize. I keep some of the workbooks I use with the kids in it, my forms, sheets, marking to do, etc. But recently, I decided that really organizing my space with the appropriate binders is essential. I don't keep all of the information in mine since we don't need multiple copies of EVERYTHING, but I certainly keep things pertinent to my job and hopefully any job I might have in the future (we're 3 months away from the beginning of staffing season so keep your fingers crossed!).
I made this binder cover in Powerpoint and it's available for FREE on TPT. I really wanted something super colourful (I love bright colours!) but something that would make my stuff stand out in a room filled with 3 people's things - never mind our 19 students! Hopefully you will find it as useful as I have. I have a big binder for my day plans (a document I just made in Powerpoint), Student Information, Administration Info (policies & procedures, etc.) and then I have them ready to go for each subject area as well. Right now I'm not using those just for the fact that I have nowhere to store more binders that are easily accessible. My cart will have to do that job for now. What I do have are file folders that I keep blackline masters in, etc.
Enjoy!
